i Control pheasant hunting on Island The controlled pheasant hunt on Scugog Island got underway September 25 and will continue through to mid-November. The hunt, under the control of the Ministry of Natural Resources, is held on some 400 acres of land at the north end of the island known as the Scugog Wildlife Management area. Mike Palotta of the Pineridge Hunting Preserve is again operating the pheasant hunt at the Island on behalf of the Natural Resources Ministry.
