Three weeks ago there had been fears in the community that postal service (counter) might be moved to the Post Office in Blackstock as Canada Post and the previous operator of counter service in Nestleton were not able to reach an agreement on the terms of a new contract. Peter Fitton, owner of the Couu- try Store in Nestleton, said at the time that the offer made to him by Canada Post was not enough to make it financially worthwhile for him to run his store and the counter service. The offer to Mr.-Fitton amounted to about $1500 annually. The year long contract between Mr. Malcolm and Canada Post is worth about $5,000, said Mr. Conn. kind of an in-door sports facility in the community.
