18 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, October 20, 1987 A double helping of trendy autumn fashion One of the models from Just Image 'N Fall, Larry, shows off a dapper coat at the high school Thursday night. a Marlin WY¥ Travel There's absolutely no excuse for not looking good this fall. Port Perry has been literally in- undated with fashion shows this season, all showing off different and trendy clothing to get local men and women through the chilly months looking great. The UCW hosted Prelude to Autumn; and a few weeks ago, the Pine Ridge Garden Club presented fashions old and new in Then and Now. And then last Thursday, October 15, two fashion shows graced separate stages in Port Perry: the Catholic Women's League's Fall In- to Fashion at the Catholic Church Hall, and Just Image?N Fall, presented by merchants Images, the Children's Den and Personal Touch, at Port Perry High School. Even though both shows were scheduled on the same night, both were well attended, with hundreds of women enjoying clothes from throughout the area. At the CWL show, apparel was shown off from Country Classics, Paula Lishman Ltd., Annie M (Deb- bie Murdock), Renaissance (Bill Fitches), -and Designer Silks (Marilyn Wallace). Kent Farndale provided the com- mentary, and a host of well-known faces did the actual work of modell- ing. Prestige Hair was responsible for the glamourous hair-do's. Former Maple Leaf player Mike Pelyk was commentator at Just Im- age'N Fall, a youthful show featur- ing just as many men as women as models. The theatre-arts co-op of Port Perry High School, Supporting Cast, built the imaginative set and per- formed mime in the breaks. Hair was styled by David's.
