Welcome to Robinglade Estates to the McGarry family, Chris, Debbie, Mathew and David. We all hope you will enjoy your new home. Happy birthday wishes this week go out to Alan Calder and to my hus- band Bill. Belated wishes to Sonya Kerry. Speaking of birthdays the ladies that compile this column have been attempting to get together a list of the birthdays of the children in our area and also the adults. Our sincere thanks to Edie Jansen of Mariposa Estates who gave us quite a list. However, we know we are still missing a lot of birthdays, so please, give me a call at 985-9440 and I will add your families birthdays to the SER---- list and we will try to wish everyone happy birthday prior to the event. All the correspondents will have a copy of the list when it is ready. We would like to wish Larry and Fran Taylor all the very best of good luck and well wishes with "Taylor Ford & Mercury." Their grand opening was held this past weekend and I am sure it was a great suc- cess. All the best Larry and Fran. I have the following message from Mrs. Wray on the past weekend's outing of the guides. "The Seagrave Guides spent an adventurous weekend at Camp Samac in Oshawa this past weekend. As pilgrims, we had our thanksgiving. feast and worked very hard on all our ac- tivities. The girls and myself would like to thank Valerie Smith and Jane Goszlin for their assistance in preparation of the camp. A big thank you to Jane Goszlin and Bey Durham for going out and putting up with us for the weekend. All the goodies supplied by the parents were delicious. All my thanks to the guides, it is an honour to be your leader. I had a wonderful time at camp. oo Next Sunday will be another special Sunday at the Seagrave United Church. Our guest speaker will 'be Mr. John Molner from Pinedale Church. The Seagrave Choir will be providing lots and lots of special music on Sunday, in- cluding a trio. This service is being sponsored by the Seagrave United Church Choir. Boy Scout Apple Day is coming up in our area. It will be October 24, so remember everyone, the Cubs and Beavers will be in our area approx- imately 9:30 a.m. until noonish. Please support this very worthwhile cause. Speaking of the Scouts, as I am sure you have read in the past Seagrave News columns, the Seagrave Scouts still do not have a leader. In case you have not con- sidered this, perhaps if one man/woman do not feel that their personal timetable allows them to commit themselves alone, the Scouts would welcome the position being shared. It is a requirement of Scouting that the leaders be over 21, however, we're sure the boys would appreciatee the experience and knowledge known to the more senior members of the community who might be able to offer their time. Please call Betty Williams at 985-8563 if you can help in any way. The Robinglade Ladies Group meets, as planned, this Tuesday at Gail Stewart's. Hope to see everyone there. The Port Perry Kinsmen Club is having another teen dance...and remember all you Seagrave teens...that includes you...the dance will be held at the Kinsmen Hall this Friday night October 23. All pro- ceeds will be given to Cystic Fibrosis research, That's all the news for this week folks. It's great to get your calls with news items. I know we all ap preciate reading what's going on. Please call Diane Cooke with your news next week at 985-3722.
