Faye Kerr, Vice-President, has worked in the private sector of the economy at management and ex- ecutive levels since 1963 and has been assistant to the Presidents of three corporations. She is now pur- suing her goals in the advertising and promotions field, having suc- cessfully completed the University of Toronto's Advertising and Pro- motions Management course. Faye recently established her own com- pany, FMK Marketing Services Ltd. The company offers knowledge in researching target markets, slogans and catch phrases as well as pro- viding professional writing skills. The new Durham Business and Pro- fessional Women's Club slogan, "Why walk in someone else's shadow. Cast your own!!" is an ex- ample of her expertise in this field. Promotion is another area where Faye has succeeded in providing unusual ideas. It is her intention to use these skills for the benefit of the club. Treasurer, Kim Bradshaw, received an Business Ad- ministrative Degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. Since 1981, Kim has been involved in the computer industry, providing high level con- sulting services to various corporate entities. Kim is presently Senior Data Processing Communications Analyst for Management Systems Limited. The new Durham club is fortunate to have Kim as its member and inhouse high tech consultant. Donna P. Taylor, Chief Executive Officer and Port Manager, The Port of Oshawa was appointed Secretary of the club. Prior to joining The Oshawa Harbour Commission in 1977, she was involved in thé in- surance and investment fields in Toronto and Oshawa. From 1977 to 1983 Ms. Taylor assumed respon- sibility for many different aspects as Manager of Finance and Ad- ministration and Corporate Secretary. As a member of the Oshawa Harbour Task Force, she was involved in the long range plan- ning of the Port which solved major environmental problems. In 1984 Ms. Taylor was appointed Chief Ex- ecutive Office and Port Manager, becoming the first female in Canada to hold such a position.
