Ch a sii With two extra days, the 1987 Royal (Wednesday, November 11 to Sunday, November 22) truly lives up to its reputation as the world's largest indoor agricultural fair. Of- fering over $500,000 in prize money, in addition to World Championships in many divisions, The Royal hosts the largest Draught Horse Show in the world and showcases interna- tional show jumping at its finest. Representing Durham West in the 4-H Scotia Bank Contact Hays Classic, on November 15th and 16th, are Scott Wilson, Epsom; Dawna Wilson, Uxbridge: Ian McFadden, Lindsay Presbyterial by May Donnelly "There was an excellent atten- dance at the Fall Executive Meeting of the Lindsay Presbyterial Women's Missionary Society, held in Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodville on Wednesday, September 23. The weather was perfect. Under the leadership of President Mary Durward an enjoyable, busy and rewarding day ensued. A.film strip on this year's study "People and Churches of the U.S.S.R" was shown and enjoyed, as was the background music. It really helped us understand how the church survives and even flourishes in that country. In 1988 the Russian Missionary Society Orthodox Church will be celebrating 1,000 years of Christian witness. This film strip is available for the use of groups - a real asset to our perception of this year's study. The Annual Meeting will take place in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lindsay on Wednesday, January 20, 1988. We hope to have Barbara Woodruff, from the Na- tional Office, as our Guest Speaker. Some members from Port Perry attended the Toronto/Kingston Synodical Meeting which was held in Trinity -Presbyterian Church, Bayview Avenue, Toronto on Oc- tober 26 in order to get some further information on the proposed new boundary lines."
