Durham East Liberals name new executive The Durham East Liberal Assoc. held its annual meeting to elect a new slate of officers for the coming year, on Tuesday November 10 in Columbus. . The newly elected slate of officers includes: Marilyn Pearce: Presi- dent, Bruce Taylor: Past-President, Don MacArthur: Executive Vice- President, Reg Philip, Taullie Thompson, Lorna Davey, Bev Grose and Stan Green are Vice-Presidents, William Leask: Treasurer, Pat Irwin-Lycett: Secretary, Sonya Wygodansky: Membership Secretary. Diane Hamre, the Liberal can- didate in the September provincial election is also an ex-office member of the executive. - Also elected were 17 directors municipalities in the association. Locally, Paul Saulnier and Audrey Archer were elected as was Arthur Murcott from Ashburn. During the meeting reports were heard from the Secretary and Treasurer. Presently the associa- tion has 600 active members. Accor- ding to Bruce Taylor, Past- President of the association, the Treasurer's report was minimal because the financial position of the association is still being determin- ed relevant to the recent election. In lieu of a guest speaker, Diane Hamre reported and reviewed the election and discussed future plans for the association. Next meeting for the association was set for November 30 at 7:30 in representing the different Court Room No. 2, Bowmanville. HEALEY -- FIELDING Kari Louise Fielding and Todd James Healey were joined in mar- riage on August 22, 1987 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Port Perry. Rev. Alfred Grima officiated. 'The bride is the daughter of Keith and Maureen Fielding of Port Perry, and the groom is the son of Bob and Marion Healey of Scugog Island. The maid of honour was Angela Fielding, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lynn Bradbury, cousin of the bride, Lori Beer and Colleen Carnochan, friends of the bride. Flowergirls were Lesley and Ashley Donnelly, cousins of the bride. Robert Franssen, friend of the groom, was the best man. The ushers were Mike Healey, brother of the groom. Sean Fewer, friend of the groom and Stephen Connors, nephew of the groom. The newlyweds now reside in Port Perry.
