Next Thursday evening November 26 the YMCA Wrestling Club will be hosting a mini-meet at PPHS (gym CO) at 6:30 p.m. The op- position will be the Whitby Optimist ns Team and our club is looking forward to their first taste of competition. The first '» hour of the evening will be a workshop time with the two clubs exchanging coaches, this is to be followed by a number of matches between the two clubs. Everyone is welcome to come out and see our wrestling program in action. Beginning in January this pro- gram will switch to Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Call the YMCA for more details. * Our gymnastics and kindergym programs are also presenting demonstrations. On December 2 our Wednesday evening classes will perform and on Thursday December 10 we will have our second gymnastic demonstra- tion. Both these programs are at PPHS beginning at 6 p.m. 'please call the YMCA at 985-2824 The YMCA Floor Hockey teams are also concluding the 1st half of the season with exhibition games against the teams from Blackstock. On November 30 at 6:30 p.m. at R.H. Cornish Public School our junior team will play their rivals from Cartwright. Anyone who hasn't seen our floor hockey program should come out and watch it in action. You'll be surprised at the speed and skills level necessary to play this ex- citing game. Our new Winter flyer will be available in mid-December. We are also running programs during the Christmas Break. On" Monday December 21 we'll be running a Car- tooning Workshop in the morning and Outdoor Adventures in the afternoon. On December 22 the morning will | be filled with Xmas Crafts and a trip to Cullen Gardens is planned for the afternoon. We are still verifying our program content for December 23, 29, & 30 ) but programs will run on those days. Notice of Property Valuation Property owners and tenants will receive a Notice of Property Valuation only if information relating to their property assessment was changed during the past year, if the assessment was appealed last year, or if there has been a general reassessment in the municipality. If you receive a Notice of Property Valuation, it may reflect changes you have requested in your school support designation, in the amount of your assessed value, or other recorded information on last year's Notice. Appeal Procedure If, after attending your local Open House, you are still dissatisfied with your assessment, you have the right to appeal it to the Assess- | ment Review Board. This Board is respon- | sible for determining whether the assessment | under appeal is fair and equitable with the assessments of similar properties in the vicinity. The Assessment Review Board is more informal and relaxed than a regular court of law. | | Appeal Deadline The final date for appealing your assess- ment is January 12, 1988. | If you wish to appeal your assessment, you can use the form provided on the back of your Notice of Property Valuation, write a letter, or use a Notice of Appeal Form. You need to include your property address, roll number, and the reason for the appeal. Your appeal must be filed on or before January 12, 1988.
