It's an age-old scenario--and something that never happens at Wendy's Boutique. Wendy Davis of Scugog Island opened the shop, at 180 Mary Street, in late September, and she says she's been overwhelmed by com- ments from people who enjoy shop- For big, beautiful women § ping there and finding beautiful clothes that fit. Before she even opened, she surveyed the area to find out how much demand there would be for a large sized store, and she knew from the response that the boutique would be popular. "They wanted me to open up right away, like the next day," Wendy, herself a larger sized woman, says. Garden Club meeting Pine Ridge Garden Club held their Nov. 3 meeting in_the way of a workshop on Gir Decorations & Gift Wrapping. Chris Wilson of Weall & Cullen demonstrated dif- ferent ways to gift wrap which was very informative & interesting. Anita Mazzarolo led the workshop, showing different & very beautiful decorations. The monthly competition "*Win- dy' a design showing motion was won by Ann Julia Bajema, 2nd Alice Dodd, 3rd Alice Turcotte. Prizes presented were donated by Paula ' Lishman, Paul's Shoe Repair & Nestleton Country Stork Marilyn Bailey won a $10.00 gift certificate donated by Brock's Department Store for the door prize.
