Everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit with the Christmas lights, decorations and music. Our village is extra pretty at this time of year. Seagrave Park Board invite the community to join with them at their annual Christmas dance held at Sunderland Arena Hall this Sat. Dec.12th. Tickets still available from Doug Dempsey 985-8865 and Laurence Carr 985-8768. Also call Laurence for bus transportation. This is an annual Seagrave event you will want to be a part of -- so get those dancing shoes dusted off and come up to Sunderland, Saturday night. Santa will arrive Saturday, Dec. 12th at Seagrave Store from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Get your list made up kids, and let Santa know what you wish for Christmas morning under the tree. Church Notes: The Seagrave Sun- day School concert will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 11th at the church. Come out and watch the kids perform for you. White Gift Sunday is next Sunday, Dec. 13th. All gifts donated will be for Scugog Community Care "Operation Scugog." Christmas Eve Service: This year's service will be held at our church, Seagrave United at 7:30 p.m. It's a Family Service with lots of music and a candle lighting, Sunday morning we welcomed Ruth Zoltz's visitors from West Ger- many. Hope you enjoy your stay in our tiny village. Many thanks to Mildred Puckrin and Eleanor Nicholls for the lovely Christmas banner displayed in our church Sunday morning. A lot of research and careful planning went into this project. It's a beautiful ad- dition to our Sanctuary. Little Miss Erin Kent deposited her coins in the Birthday Box Sun- day morning. Happy Birthday, Erin. Also our very best wishes to Eleanor Nicholls, Ellen Bruce, Cor- inne Watts and Holly Jackson - all celebrating birthdays this past week. Look out Pumpkin Corners -- someone else is soon celebrating a very special birthday. Also in our church news we are in- forming our community that one of the old church gas light fixtures has been wired and ready for use.
