Assists went to Mandy Porter and Lori Bushcer. Sunday, Port travelled to Sunderland for a league game. Once again Port came up on the short end of the stick -- losing 9-5. The girls came out flying, played a great first period and trailed off in the second. Maybe Port's shortage of girls wore them down in the second against the strong Sunderland team. The girls also made some errant passes which hurt them. The other team seemed to be good at getting girls in behind Port's defense. Bristol was faced with more than one breakaway. Port opened the scoring with two fast goals. Both goals resulted from neat passing between Kelly Menzies and Nicki Beare, Kelly got the first one with Nicki assisting and Nicki scored the second with Kelly mak- ing the pass. Bristol made a couple of great saves, then Mandy Porter picked up a pass from Chris Mueller and got Port's third goal. The period ended 3-3. Sunderland took the lead at the beginning of the second and never gave it up. Kelly Menzies fed a pass to Mandy Porter and Mandy got her second goal. Port's final goal was netted by Nicki Beare
