If we give our best Nestleton-Caesarea News The Christmas Season is almost over for another year...a joyous time filled with unique and precious hours with families and friends... Twas the season to be jol- ly but it was also a good time to be thinking of those who haven't anything to be jolly about. The open hand of hospitality for a stranger in our midst...an extra thought for so- meone who needs but doesn't expect it...these were the prime targets for the Christmas Season...So...let us keep the Christmas spirit throughout the year to come. And - as the old year fades away leaving its memories...a New Year comes in bright with hope...and we wish for you in 1988... fulfillment of your hopes and promises... New Year is a time for reflection...the blessings we have in Canada...if we give our best in the year ahead...the world will be a better place. SO.. let us try very hard! Nestleton Presbyterian Church Once again, we were honoured to have Dr. Stephen Farris, a Pro- fessor at Knox College, as our guest preacher. He chose the well known Scripture - Luke Ch. 2 for his reading. The children's story was about names. He was given an Honourary Indian name by the Blackfoot In- dians with whom he worked and to whom he ministered. Translated it - meant "Holy or Spirit Seeking the Chief." He told us to try to live up to our name and especially to live up to being a Christian. During the Offertory, Miss Alison Scott sang, 'Twas in the Morn of Wintertime" accompanied by her mother, Shirley Scott on the organ. Dr. Farris sermon was taken from the Carol 'Away in 2 Manger' - ascribed to Martin Luther - simple Greenbank news by Mabel Cawker yet profound story about the Birth of the Lord. = Christmas News Don & Norma Frew, Nestleton, had all their family home for the Christmas celebration with approx- imately twenty in all - held on Thursday, December 24.
