Sunday proved to be a snowy winter's day resulting in many ac- cidents one of which was right here in Utica when a car, which ap- parently went out of control while travelling from the west, made a gaping hole in the side of the general store and scaring those inside half to death. Luckily the only casualty was a dog passenger in the car. The Lorne Slutes have been busy celebrating their birthdays. On Fri- day evening they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Morden in Green- wood and on Saturday with their son Bill and family at Robinglade Estates. Hillis, Carol and Lee Wilbur were Friday supper guests at the home of her mother Mrs. Ruby Beare, Greenbank. On Saturday, Hillis's sister Dorothy Robertson of Cookstown, was a dinner guest and ed a nice donation at its annual meeting last ° pe used for improvements to the Fair Grounds. Thursday when a cheque for $500 was presented to president Roly Coy. The money was Joan Bayley. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Electric jolt Larocque Electric Pee Wee team played in Manvers on Sunday Jan. 24 and came home winners by a 3-1. score. This was a fast skating, hard checking game with both teams showing fine hockey skills. Mike Hepburn scored from Mark Cosway and Shannen Leslie to put Larocque's ahead 1-0. Matt Allen came back for Manvers to tie the score, assisted by Ashton Downs. 7 ANNUAL Mark Cosway from Kevin Pearce and Mike Hepburn put the "Electric Boys' ahead for good at 1:29 of the third. Kevin Pearce scored with 2:45 left in the game to make the score 3-1. Assists going to Mark Cosway and Mike Hepburn.
