'Pee Wees oust Stouffville in The Port Perry Pee Wee Legionaires have defeated the Stouffville Clippers in 3 quick games. The team played Stouff- ville twice this week and were vic- torious in each game. Mens League playoff The first game was a well fought battle between Larocque Electric and Sportsland which ended in a 3-3 tie. Counting for Larocque were Dave Dickson 2 goals, 1 assist, Ed Olsen 1 goal, 1 assist, and Carl Fitzgerald 2 assists. Fighting back for Sportsland were "Doc" Thomson, Brian Callery and Glen Howsam 1 goal each. Adding assists were Ken Little 2, Doug Scott, Brian Samis, Mike Adams, and Dale Bronson one a piece. Game two was a quicker paced one in which Compton Cable T.V. skated to a 4-1 victory over Ander- sons Chev-Olds. Leading the way for Compton was Wayne Fox with all 4 goals. Assists to Roger Moase 2, Larry Page 2, John Robertson, Jim Beatty and Paul Schmeler each with one. The lone marker for Andersons was Bill Bridge from Dave Harrison. The third game of the day was another hard fought game in which Crandell's Riverboat and PLAYOFFS -- SCUGOG ARENA -- The team travelled to Stouff- ville on Monday night and were able to win 5-1. The first period saw a lot of action from both teams but only Port was able to score. Brad Moase chalked up our Norton's Home Improvements played to a 4-4 draw. Capitalizing for Crandells were Richie Le Fort 2 goals, 2 assists, Wayne Taylor 1 goal, 1 assist, and Mike Driscoll 1 goal. Helping our were Larry Jackson with 3 assists, Carl Durward and Neil Crouter 1 each. Fighting along for Nortons were Bill Van Camp 2 goals, 1 assist, Bob Lee 1 goal, 1 assist, and Keijo Kinnunen one goal. Assisting were Lee Steeves 2, Dick Martin and Rob Evans 1 a piece. Game four saw yet again a tie which involved Blanchard's Supp- ly Co. and J & D Carpentry. The final score was 3-3. Scorers for Blanchards were Glen Hudson, Rick Hope, and Al Bonner. Adding assists were Dave Roth, Dan Horner, Tom Patton, Ron Jeffrey and Ron Zaparanuik all with one. Scoring for J & D were Doug Bronson 1 goal, 1 assist and Joe Curran. Also assisting were Wayne Norton, George Gladish and Dennis Lycett. JR. Steve Laird assisted on the goal, and with only 45 seconds left in the game Jason scored his third goal when he caught the open net, after picking up a pass from Jeff Parry. This was a hard, tough series, as the Stouffville team is known for their roughness.
