It sure seemed like a long trip but we soon ar- rived back in Port Perry. Actually it was hard to believe that we nev- er left the dining room. After- wards was a question period. A very big thank you to Mrs. Barb Porter for being a great tour guide. Near the end of the after- noon, | saw the treat wagon going through the halls delivering good- ies to everyone. Starting off the next week we had bowling on Monday with Becky Gray being the top scorer. Also this week is "Proud to be a Canadian Week" therefore we dec- orated the main enterance in rec- ognition of this theme. To start off moring exercises on Tuesday we all joined in on sing- ing "O' Canada". At around 2 p.m. a fashion show was given by the Comfot Clothing Store. Many residents bought new clothes. In the evening the Blackstock United Church gave a lovely service. Wednesday we hosted a Patriotic Tea with Uxbridge Nursing Home being our guests. Musical enter- tainment was provided by Mr. Ar- chie Walker. Also we had games, a quiz and a Canadian story read. To end the day we all enjoyed the Canadain Flag cake with our re- freshments. Red & White day was on Thurs- day (21). Best dressed residents for the occasion were M. Edwards, J. Tuck, E. Slute and L. Blaikie. A busy craft session covered the hours in the afternoon. Then in the evening several residents c¢n- joyed a game of darts. Sadic Ayers was the top winner with 70 points. On Friday the 22nd we had lots of fun. The children from the Im- maculate Conception School vis- ited and helped us celebrate our Spring Fling Party. These great kids danced, sang songs and showed us a real good time. They also served us lots of delicious goodies that the brought with them. A special thank you to this fine group of kids and we cannot express how much we have en- joyed you visiting us over the past few months.
