NE Sy Soc wee ER ET 8 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, April 26, 1988 Countess Maritza a winner By all accounts it looks as if the Scugog Choral Society's latest production, the Countess Maritza will be an outstanding success. The show got underway with three performances last week, and continues for another six performances this week and the next. Above, one of the bright, and energenic scenes during the first Act, which takes place on the terrace of Maritza's country house in the Balkans. The Countess Maritza (played by Catherine Miller) is seen here having her palm read while Baron Kolomna Zsupan (Terry Paul) at left, and Prince Moritz Popolescu (Don Taylor) keep a close eye on the proceedings. The three act play has been drawing large crowds, but there are a few tickets left for future perfor- mances.
