The dazzling smile belongs to Laura McClure, 3, who just guaranteed herself a spot at the all-Canada Sunburst modelling competi- tion coming up in Toronto. See story for details. Accident A Caesarea man suffered head injuries after the vehicle he was driving crossed the road and struck a culvert. Durham Regional Police say Reginald Renouf, 41, was injured in the crash, which happened April 29th at 7:40 p.m. in the northbound lane of Regional Road 57. No charges were laid, and no further details of the accident were "available. ittle Lavra follows her ig sister's footsteps Take a good look at this photo. Those big eyes and that perky smile looks familiar, doesn't it? Well, the face is familiar, if you're familiar with Lisa McClure, the five year old Prince Albert area dynamo who has won the all-Canadian Sunburst modell- ing competition and will go on to compete internationally in Au- gust. Trouble is, that's not a photo of Lisa. The pretty young lady pictured is Laura McClure, Lisa's three year old sister. Laura was pretty much oblivi- ous to all this modelling stuff, being three years old and all, but her mom Julie figured she'd better enter young Laura in a Sunburst competition, or she'd grow up wondering why Lisa got all the attention. So in order to prevent future si- bling jealousy, she entered Laura in a Sunburst contest last week- end (April 24) at the Holiday Inn, Oshawa. The event is a prelimi- nary contest to the "all-Canadian" Sunburst competition. Julie McClure says she honest- ly hoped Laura didn't win the pre- liminary contest because the con- test do cost a lot of time, money, and effort. So she was a trifle taken aback, happily so, when Laura was named third runner-up in her cate- gory of two and three year olds ( a category in which ig children competed). Laura now qualifies for the Ca- nadian competition in July. Last year, Lisa won at the pre- liminaryand the all-Canada com-' petiton, and as a result, will be competing this August in Florida, 'U.S.A. Could we see Laura following: her sister's footsteps next August? It's entirely possible--just take a look at this face! We'll keep you posted. SCUGOG CHRYSLE ZH | zz CHRYSLER] CHRYSLER!
