Chris Rollo, Director of the award-winning production, had much praise for her cast of 11, ranging in age from young (Cor- inne White is the youngest member at 9 years of age) to "older", with Vern Vogel playing the somewhat mindless but loveable King and Terry Hodgins (who is missing from the photo, but whom any Borelian's fan will know from his many previous roles on the stage at Town Hall) playing the ever forgetful Sir Slipshod. The play is opened by one of the most talented young dancers in this area, namely Zakeana Reid, who performs John Foote's choreography with such grace and ease one wishes her part were much bigger. The opening of the play was especially written by director Chris Rollo, where she in- troduces 'Imagination' - the character portrayed by Zakeana. The combination of Rollo's creative ideas with Foote's ar- tistic, dreamy dance sequences and Zakeana"s execution of both surely do take the audience into their collective imaginations for the remainder of the show. , Other members of the cast'in- clude Hailie Vogel, who stunned audiences in her stage debut as the wicked Lady Sorrowell play- @e Hearin Dr. E. Mueller's Office g ,. c Aid (entre ¢f Port Perry 230 QUEEN STREET, PORT PERRY - The "'Dragon" comes to Town Hall 1873 ing opposite the equally wicked Sir Cad played by veteran actor Steve Foote. The chemistry, bet- ween Hailie and Steve provides some delicious moments for the audience, both evil and funny. The Dragon herself is played with an energy to be envied by Jen- nifer Fletcher, who takes the role seriously both on stage and off - befriending her 'Prince', Cor- inne White, in the story as well as in real life. Corinne impressed Director Chris Rollo even before this play was cast with her en- thusiasm and determination to one day become a professional ac- tress. We think she's well on her way!! Four more young people round out this energetic and dedicated cast - with Jasen Dawsen and Michelle Morton portraying soldiers of the Court, Jazzine Reid as the Court Jester, and Kim Rollo as the page. The Borelians are hoping to see 'many familiar faces at their per- formances on Saturday, May 14 at 1:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Town Hall 1873, with a bar and a dance following the 8:00 p.m. show.
