The money was gratefully accepted by Minnie Martin and Dennis Smith while club members looked on. The funds will likely be used to help pay for the new lights. The donation came from the funds raised by the Lodge through the Trip of the Month draw. Lawn bowlers set to roll Port Perry Bowling Club was incorporated September 5th, 1944 with seven Founding Members. George Holmes, Albert Heayn, Robert Harper, John Murray, Fred Brook, Joseph Allen and Ernest Hayes. From that simple beginning the club has blossomed into a century plus membership with a new green and clubhouse on Simcoe Street just north of Central Seven. We thank Local and Provincial Governments, merchants and service clubs, for past support. For current support our most grateful thanks to Port Perry Oddfellows for a very generous donation in support of ongoing activities. Visitors are always welcome.
