Registration for 1988 is up twenty-five percent and teams are made up as follows: 6 Mini, 4 Squirt, 4 Atom, 3 Mosquito, 1 Pee Wee and 2 Bantarn. Late registra- tion can be done by contacting Val Cranmer at 985-7208 or at Sport- sland on Water Street. More Pee Wee and Bantam boys are required. The Club is having a draw on a $1,000 bill at the official season opening on Wednesday, June 1 at 7:00 P.M. A limited number of tickets are still available from any club executive and Sportsland. All players should be at the Soc- cer Fields on May 24 at 6:00 P.M. for initial practice sessions. Next Soccer Club meeting is Tuesday, May 17 at 7:30 P.M. at the Township of Scugog Office. Silver for Oldtimers on Quebec weekend Port Perry "Country Lane" Oldtimers Hockey Club finish season in Quebec City and brought home silver on April 23/24 weekend. Game 1 saw Port lose to Mississauga Rattlers 6-5. Game 2, Port defeated team 1 from Quebec 9 to 3. Game 3 saw Port Perry play team 2 from Quebec and defeated them 4 to 3 which put Port Perry in first place in their division and set up a final against this same Quebec team on Sunday morning. At the end of period 3 it was still 0-0 thanks to the outstanding goaltending of Don Card who was voted the M.V.P. Each team then went to 4 aside and Quebec were able to score first thus winning 1-0 in VR overtime.
