Kenneth and Beth Catherwood of Oshawa, Alan and Joyce Ashton of Oakwood and boys were supper guests of Mrs. Ruth Ashton after attending Decora- fon Day services at Uxbridge on un. Church will be held in Epsom, July 3 at 11:15. Remember the Community Care Bake Sale at their office in Uxbridge on Thurs., June 30 at 10 P.M. There will be a lucky draw on a wonderful Picnic Basket. What a wonderful day for the fiftieth wedding anniversary celebration for Elsie and Gordon Prentice. The Epsom friends and neighbours were so pleased to be able to come to congratulate the happy couple and to have a chat with their three sons, their wives and families. The Social Club will hold their annual picnic on July 10 at the Tapscott cottage. Everyone in the community is invited. Come after dinner and bring Pot-Luck lunch, for food will be served about five o'clock. Enjoy an afternoon of swimming or paddling in the water or just a visit with friends and neighbours. Lois and Harold were married in the present Scugog Museum Church, then known as the "Head Memorial" United Church. They have never lost interest in the Island and fequently help in choir concerts. Congratulations Lois & Harold. Tho' many of us may not know Mr. & Mrs. John McMorrow of Sunrise Beach, I'm sure their neighbours have had many occa- sions to mingle with them and their Scottish relatives when they come to visit. They must plan their re-union visits to Canada, where they have enjoyed coming before. The reason for thinking this is that 12 of John's relatives are coming from Scotland and 2 from Australia in July and August, when they will visit other relatives too. So if you hear some follicking good times, don't be surprised. The only dissenting voice was that of great grandaughter Victoria Ashton. Mrs. Ruth Ashton received the street sign for "Ashton Drive". Some who are coming to the subdivision were present.
