The Port Perry Senior Citizens Club crowned a new Queen and King at the meeting last week. Clara Warren and Bill Harper will wear the cape and crown for the club on occasion over the coming year. With them are last year's monarchs Violet and Regis Hanley. King and Queen crowned by Marion Webster The Senior Citizens held their meeting Wednesday, June 22 at 2 p.m. Our president Clara Warren opened the meeting. O'Canada was sung. After the business meeting was over our new presi- dent, Caroline Bright, took charge. Our King and Queen for the year were crowned, Bill Harper and Clara Warren. The retiring King and Queen put the cloaks and crowns on Bill and Clara. We were also favoured with some numbers from the Golden Slippers. The club then enjoyed a picnic supper. This was the last meeting till fall. My apology to Jean and Minnie Martin, their names were omitted in the slate of officers last write-up. They are on Travel Committee. There will be a euchre every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. during July and Aug. All have a good and safe summer. Best wishes to all our sick.
