Sarah Brown of the First Port Perry Pathfinders will be among the 3,000 camping in tents in the Qu'Appelle Valley. Once the Pathfinders and their leaders pack up and head for home after their ten days, the area will become a provincial campground. Sarah is thrilled to have the chance to take part in this get- together with her counterparts from all over the world. Others will come from as far away as Pathfinders led to an adventure South America, Europe, Austra- lia, and New Zealand, Israel and the United States. She didn't just apply to attend this camp, she was selected by a screening committee. Once the Pathfinders arrive at camp, they won't have a great deal of time to admire the Saskatche- wan scenery, as there are more than 90 different events and activi- ties to keep them busy. Sarah has selected art and ficld sports as her interest activities, and just for a change she'll have the chance to take a ride in a hot air balloon, go hiking, trail riding on horseback, and water sports. As part of the international experience for the young girls, five Pathfinders from the New England States and a leader arrived in Port Perry last Thursday after- noon and will be billeted with families in this area until July 12. The Americans will be taking in the sights of southern Ontario until they fly to Regina and then on to the Echo Valley Camp.
