Baby shower held for twin infant girls Prince Albert and Area News A} Bryan and Judy Beacock and Philip were with her parents, the Allisons, who are holidaying at Rice Lake. Our sympathy to Paul and Mary Pearsell concerning the passing away of his mother. The Pearsell family resided in our village a few years ago. We are all pleased to learn Albert Harper is progressing favourably at his home. A Baby Shower Last Tuesday evening a large gathering of enthusiastic relatives and friends were invited to the lovely new home of Eddie and Kelly Olsen, assisted by Susan (Mrs. Thos.) Olsen. No the occasion was not for a bride or a baby, but instead along came a pair of justly proud parents, Denis and Shelley (nee Olsen) Lamonde, accompanied by their infant "twin" daughters, namely Rachelle and Shanda. Naturally they were dolled up in the pink. In fact that evening was their first social outing. After all had admired the wee gals the new mother unwrapped the many pretty and useful gifts for which she sincerely voiced thank you. . At this hour a colourful n' tasty lunch provided a pleasant evening. Now in due time we are awaiting the arrival of twin sons eh! Eighty Years Young The weather was ideal on Sun- day afternoon, July 10, when Jim and Marylou Burnett shared their spacious home for the purpose of a special party. Who for? Why dad, Roy Robertson, who has reached (on actually July 18) the wonderful and octoginarion age of 80. Therefore the entire im- mediate family comprising of great and great-great Robertson roots who arrived from various directions. During the later hour everyone enjoyed the sumputuous menu topped-off with a special decorated birthday cake to which naturally the singing of 'Happy Birthday", rang through the air after which Roy voiced the sur- prise and extra sentiments. As the evening hours closed in, the fun and reminiscing was dimming, the guest of honour, Grandpa Roy and Gramma Ethel were the reci- pients of good wishes, hugs and kisses. Thus ended a memorable occasion. And thoughtful for the Burnetts to once again act host and hostess. ES LTE, RCE AA \
