Mrs. June Degeer hosted a bridal shower in honour of bride- to-be Eleanor Gibson last Sunday afternoon when a number of friends in the area gathered. After Eleanor opened her many lovely gifts she replied fittingly and a tasty lunch and social time was enjoyed. _ Mrs. Edna Kelly of Bobcaygeon joined the Gerald Kelly family along with Mark Graham when they all attended a Jack and Jill party by the Omemee Gliding Club in honour of Peter Peeters and Elizabeth Kelly. This buffett picnic dinner and party was held at the home of Dolores and Perry Ryan at R.R.4, Omemee, on Sun- day evening. Following dinner, entertainment and a fireworks CHILDREN'S SUMMER THEATRE WORKSHOP Ages 8 to 12 display a presentation to their fellow glider was made. On the weekend of July 23 and 24, the 8th annual Devitt's Dungeon Horseshoe Tournament was held at the home of Phil and Claudette Archer with 75 to 80 people attending. He bulit the tiny collection of buildings (Including a copy of a Utl- ca feed mill and the Caesarea Community Church) in his basement/warkshop last winter--the little buildings are a far cry from the usual life-size buildings he usually works on. Mr. Boynton did it because he enjoys working with wood--and now his neighbours can enjoy the fruit of his labour. at Blackstock followed by a pot luck lunch. Several from here attended the annual Guernsey Association pic- nic on Sunday when lots of good food, fellowship and visiting was enjoyed. Two of North Blackstock's verandah ladies threatened your correspondent with pictorial blackmail when they saw me on my hands and knees trying to coax a cat from under the neighbour's steps.
