It's been several weeks now since Rev. & Mrs. Saunders left our community. Better late than never, but to show our apprecia- tion for all the years that they were part of the community, the neighbours are collecting funds for a gift. Any who are interested in contributing, please contact Mrs. Hilda Bailey at 985-7417 within the next week or so or drop into my house in the village and I will see that it is passed on to her. Two of our local men have been patients in hospital and have now returned home. Mr. Russell Lind- sey was a patient for several weeks suffering a stroke and Mr. Grant Bright spent a few days in Port Perry Hospital this past week. A tragic accident which occur- red a week ago at an indoor swim- ming pool in View Lake affects a neighbour Mrs. Eva Sutcliffe who is the great-grandmother of 1% year old Virginia and on behalf of the village I send condolences to her and the parents and grand- parents of Janetville. Our thoughts are with you at this time of grief. Congratulations to Lisa Taylor on her winnings at the Port Perry Fair. I had a big accomplishment last weekend too, during the rain and the cold of the long weekend, when 1 captured the ladies low gross championship at Sunnybrae Golf Course. (This is by way of an explanation why I couldn't help the ladies who catered to the auc- tion sale and why I missed church.) 1988-89 Edition UXBRIDGE /PORT PERRY & SURROUNDING AREAS BIG TYPE Home Phone Book iree DISTRIBUTED TO HOMES AND BUSINESSES IN: UXBRIDGE (03 N10 (OL) § 1 30) 14 MB 3 DJ 24246 131 :10) CCH N01) THEE HEE > (Actual size 8 1/2" X 117 Uxbridge Printing Company Lid. is pleased to announce the New 1989 edition of the: combined Uxbridge/Port Perry and area Annual : Big Type Home Phone Book which will be: distributed FREE to area businesses and: residents. it's one of the most effective marketing tools: GREENBANK NESTLETON PRINCE ALBERT any business ever had.
