Council briefs Work will start this fall on the completion of a sidewalk in Greenbank. The new work will provide sidewalk from Highway 12 east to the Public School Part of the sidewalk was com- pleted last year. The remainder of the work had been scheduled for this year. FIRE HALL Township council has given the Fire department in Caesarea permission to use funds in this year's budget for construction of a small addition on the hall. Harry Vanderheul, a member of the department, told council the department needs additional space for storage and an office. He requested that the depart- ment be allowed to take about $8500 in funds that won't be spent on maintenance and put them towards the addition. Council agreed when Mr. Vanderheul assured them the small addition on the north side of the building would not interfere with any future plans to add another truck bay to the building. There is room on the south side of the building for another bay, he stated. NO DECISION A decision on re-zoning a property on the northwest corner of Lilla Street and Highway 7A to commercial will be delayed for two weeks or until the Township receives comments from Durham Region and the provincial high- ways department.
