White Gift Sunday Scugog Island Area News by Mrs. Earl Reader At the Island United Church on Sunday December 18th, it will be White Gift Sunday, an annual op- portunity to share with one or more families as we attempt to make their Christmas Day a little more' enjoyable. Donations of food items for meals on Christ- mas Day, a gift, or donations of money to be used to buy turkey, vegetables and fruit as needed to complete the meals, would be ap- preciated. On Sunday at 2.p.m. the teach- ers and students of the Island United produce their Christmas program for you. It is called "The Heart of Christmas." Be sure to come and encourage them. Mrs. Clara Whitter, formerly from the Island, 7A road, was quite ill for five weeks from ex- cess sharing of energy and time. But she is progressing favourably now. We can always remember her natural talent of piano playing and her joy in sharing it. Earl Reader is being transferred from the Uxbridge Nursing Home while George Irwin goes to Ux- bridge to join his wife Hattie. PRODUCTS and SERVICES for the BUILDING INDUSTRY * Residential Design.
