Guest speaker will be Gary Herrema. In the Floor Hockey there was only one game in which the Bruins defeated the Canadians 5-4 with scoring done by Todd Moore, Scott Barr and Mike Hepburn for the Bruins and by Adam Vivian and Jason Cliff for the Canadians. On Tuesday evening the regular euchre became a Christmas event. Draws were made for the afghan which was won by Laur- rena Bright, the Lap Throw by wards enjoyed dinner at the Organ Grinder. On Wednesday evening a capacity crowd at the C.C.P.S. gym enjoyed the annual Christmas Concert. Principal Roden Rutledge welcomed everyone and introduced the M.C. Jennifer Vokins. Beginning the programme was the Grade 7 band directed by Mr. J. Beirness after which the Junior Choir under the direction of S. McCullough and K. Morton sang several numbers. The Intermediate Drama Club directed by G. Marshall perform- ed Christmas preparations after which Mrs. Mclntosh's class presented Santa's Dilemma and some Square Dancing. Miss Mor- ton's Grade 6 Harmoniaers played three numbers after which the Grade 8 band under Mr. J. Beirness played several excellent PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, December 28, 1988 -- 11 school-supper hike in October as well as a '""Witch's Brew' hosted by the Pathfinders. In November, we held a candlelight ceremony, with the Pathfinders, at which 14 new Guides, 2 Leaders and 4 Pathfinders were enrolled. Parents were invited, refreshments served by the girls to earn their Hostess Badge. Last Monday night we braved the cold to go Christmas carolling, and then returned to the church for hot chocolate and cookies. The Cubs have been to Camp Samac for a fun weekend. A special night out was a bus trip to Cullen's Gardens grandchildren for proud grandparents holidays.
