The above is one answer the other is, I love people and like to keep in touch. Donald Asling and Stella, Faye: and Keith Ashton and family gathered at the home of Dr. Pat Asling and Ivan Clarke to celebrate New Years Day. On Friday afternoon Doug and Beth Wilson and family, Don and Faye Si onds and family, Ian and Betly Cook and family went for an old fashioned sleigh ride and returned to Doug and Beth's home for the evening. On Sunday evening Kelly, Chris and Cindy Hill went with mother and father, Nancy and Gerald Hill to have supper with grandma Bet- ty and grandpa Norm Tapscott who had just returned from a wonderful Christmas with their son John at Orangedal on Cape Breton Island.. On Monday evening Bill and Betty Stearman and family of In- gersoll were with the Walter Kerry family, then on Tuesday Walter and Elva went to Montreal with Paul who had been home for Christmas. They remained for several days and enjoyed the Ice Capades at Forum one evening. On Sunday evening Larry and Shirley Olsen were supper guests at the Kerry home. Bill and Deanna Anderson and family visited Faye and Keith Ashton on Thursday evening. On Wed. Donna and Al Kabin and family of Coppins Corners were guests. of Faye and Keith Ashton. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Evans of New Brunswick have been visiting his parents Floyd and ace Evans during the holiday n. With large family connections it is hard to get them all home for Christmas but Ross and Barbara Evans had all their family Christmas dinner on Wednesday. The Taylor's, that is Earl and Elizabeth, enjoyed New Year's dinner with Earl's sister Ruth of Sunderland. At Christmas Earl and Elizabeth Taylor picked up son Ray at Kellworthy then continued north to Sundridge for Christmas with their daughter Ruth and her husband John Reed on Monday. Ruth came home with her parents to have a visit with her sister Margaret and husband Shawn Sevier of Newmarket who had kept the home fires burning while Earl & Elizabeth were away. A welcome to the newest resi- dent of Epsom, a wee daughter for Bob and Fiona McClure arriv- - ed December 28 at Port Perry. Yvonne and John Moore of Oshawa, their daughter Heather and two granddaughters Karley . -and Katie Moss visited me and we went to Uxbridge to visit with Gordon at the Care Centre. It isn't often the four generations get together. : . Dairy industry experts speak in Port Perry On January 9th, several distinguished speakers will be visiting Port Perry to discuss issues of importance to dairy farmers of the area. Mr. Bill Woodley, SHUR-GAIN Dairy Feeding Specialist will be discussing the newest research results from the SHUR-GAIN Research Farm. This research farm is the largest privately own- ed feed research farm in Canada, running trials on swine, beef, poultry, and dairy cattle. The dairy herd consists of 90 milking COWS. As agriculture becomes more and more technical, it is increas- ingly important that farmers are aware of the latest research, and Mr. Woodley will be discussing current activities at the SHUR- GAIN Research Farm. a Dr, John Burton will be discuss- ing an increasingly controversial topic - bovine somatotrophins (BST) or bovine growth hormone.
