They were Christine Carter, sister of the bride; Carla Ash, sister of the groom; Joanne Kroonenberg, friend of the bride, and Joanne's - wee daughter Tara Kroonenberg as lovely flower girl ina white gown and head-dress of flowers. : The groom and his attendants were handsome in silver grey long-tailed tuxedos with matching cummerbunds and ties in orchid. The best man was Edwin Turner, brother of the groom. The ushers were Jeff Wood, Chris Potter and Frank Vehof. Master of ceremonies was the bride's uncle, Wally Kiers from Bowmanville and the groom's uncle, Peter Greyn from Kettieby. Guests arrived at the reception from Huntsville, Bobcaygeon, Uxbridge, Peter- borough, Hamilton, Toronto and Michigan. The happy newlyweds are residing in Port Perry. The jong, flowing train was of satin fall- ing into a peacock's tail of lace. The ; dress was adorned with sequins and seed pearls. She wore a headband of sequins and pearls with fingertip veil covered wth pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of large white orchids and white carnations outlined with green leaves and ivy. : Christine Carter, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honour. She was beautiful, as were all the bridesmaids. Two of the girls wore royal blue and two wore fuschia satin tea length gowns. The bridesmaids were Michele Ash, sister of the bride; Linda Vehof, sister of the groom; and Joanne Kroonenberg, friend of the bride. Joanne's wee daughter Tara Kroonenberg, who was celebrating her third birthday the following day, was the pretty flower girl in a white gown, head- band and. veil to match the bride's. The groom was handsome in a white tuxedo jacket with black pants. His atten- dants wore black tuxedos with ties and cummerbunds to match the bridesmaids' .colours. The best man was Doug Davies, friend of the groom. Richard Carter, brother-in-law of the bride; Edward Crocker, brother-in-law of the groom and Todd Steele, friend of the groom acted as handsome, capable ushers. Fraser Lee played a beautiful rendition of "Spanish Romance" on his guitar during the signing of the register. The reception was held in the church hall. The bride's uncle, Wally Kiers, from Bowmanville was the master of ceremonies. Tom Redman, a former resi- dent of the Island & son of Allen & Evelyn, but now living near Lindsay had recent abdominal surgery and is able to be home again, We trust he'll soom be completely well again. We wish to convey sympathy to the Chandler family gt the foot of the Island on acgbunt of the decease of Terry's wife who suf- fered an illness for some time. The flowers in the Island United Church in herr memory were much appreciated. The Couples Club at the Island United had a slow beginning, but is gradually building up. Therefore they will meet again this coming Saturday evening, January 14 at 8 p.m. at the Island Church & enjoy the planned pro- gram. All are welcome.
