This group of young, ambitious women accomplished many noteworthy deeds but have run in- to difficulty as many became suc- * cessful in the world of careers or left the community. However the remaining few have made a col- lection of 75 new recipies to add to their original Cook Book. These may be obtained at a cost of $3.00 by putting in your order by Feb. 28. You may add your name to the posted list at the church or phone 985-7664. The Healthy Functioning Fami- ly meeting at .the Port Perry Town Hall on Monday night was not so well attended as the former one. Perhaps it was because fewer people in this area are in- terested in Family Violence. However the 3rd meeting on Mon. Mar. 6 will concern "Housing" and gain more personal interest for the present population. The Women's Institute will hold its regular meeting on Wed. even- ing this week with Convenor Con- nie Haigh. The topic will be Fami- ly & Consumer Affairs with a pro- gram on Family Recreation and the roll call will be "What is your favourite family game?" This winter the Institute quilted a modern "Log Cabin" quilt at the home of Mrs. Jan. Gerrow. The March meeting of the "Head" U.C.W. will be at the home of Mrs. Helen Redman. Members will please bring items for the new form of craft show to be held Apr. 22. A couple of baby quilts have already been com- pleted for sale.
