Town Hall 1873 will come alive with "The Sound of Music" as the Scugog Choral Society presents eight performances of this delightful musical by Rog- ers and Hammerstein. Von Trapp. When Maria, a young pos- tulant arrives at the family es- tate to care for the seven young Von Trapp children, she falls in © love with the captain. Bradley, who marries the cap- tain after initially struggling with her love of God and love of Von Trapp. There is a large cast of nearly 50 in this production, in- cluding the seven Von Trapp children. Von Trapp is no stranger to the stage in Port Perry as he beein in several pro- ductions with both the Choral Society and the Borelians. For Jill Bradley, playing Maria is her first major lead with the Choral Society. The show promises tobe a _ memorable one, with the un- forgettable music and the sense of dramatic tension as the fami- -ly eventually flees Austria when the Nazis take over the country.
