| Proceeds to Guides and Brownies ' Yard, bake sale coming up Seagrave and Area News by Ann Sandiford The first Seagrave Brownies and Guides Bake and Yard Sale is on Saturday May 6th at the home of Heather McWilliam bet- ween 9:00 and 4:00. This will assist the girls to go to a weekend camp at the end of May. A very special congratulations to the following girls who took part in the all around cord ceremonies with the Port Perry Guides on Sunday - Robyn Conlon, Jennifer Longo, Marianne and Mandy Smith and Lee-ann Wray. These girls worked very hard to finish all their requirements and leaders Lynn Wray and Cherie Wall will miss these girls as they move to new achievements. A very special thank you to Reverend Shepherd for coming out to our service. President Bill Harper opened the meeting & had a minute silence for Jim Elliot., a member who had passed away. Elaine Caswell read the minutes from the last meeting & Norm Caswell reported on the Treasury. A thank you to Harold Cornish, the P.A. System has been repaired. Sept. 30 has been set for the Fall Bazaar so we'd like the members to get busy and knit, sew, etc. Also Clara would like some help to work in the kitchen on July 14, 15 & 16. John Greenwood (U.S.C.O. Christian women year one The May Deli-Dessert Buffet of the Port Perry Area Christian Women's Club is scheduled for Thursday May 4th, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge on Queen Street. Christian Women's Club will be celebrating their first anniver- sary in Port Perry at the May meeting. The Club is inter-church and non-sectarian with 2200 groups across Canada, the US.A,, and around the world. There is a special feature of current in- terest, a musical presentation and an out-of-town guest speaker each month, yet there are no member- ship or dues. This month the special feature is "Prom Night" with some girls from Port Perry High School modelling their prom dresses. Synda Prosser, a recent graduate herself, will be bringing the musical presentation.
