Others took part in a sing-song led Tent caterpillar hatches spring problems The welcome warm weather is bringing out the unwelcome Tent caterpillars. Both the Forest Tent 'and the Eastern Tent caterpillars are beginning to hatch out of their egg bands. Now when they are tiny and vulnerable is the time to try and eradicate these pests from your trees. Wear some rubber gloves and physically remove, or squash the newly hatched caterpillars. If you must spray for Forest Tent caterpillar, we recommend you use a biological insecticide such as Bt, Bacillus thuringiensis. . There are several brands of this product on the market. Follow label directions carefully and exactly. 3 Remember that by the end of June the 1989 infestation of Forest Tent caterpillar will be just a memory. ° Copies of the booklet "Another Outbreak of Forest Tent Cater- pillars" are available for the ask- ing at the Ministry of Natural Resources office nearest you. Fact sheets on pesticides and aerial spraying are also available, LL Karisme - Communications WORD PROCESSING TYPING FRENCH TRANSLATION KARA WARBURTON Bus: 985-0349 Res: (705) 328-2465 by Lynn-Marie.
