No crying over this big 'Baby!' Crystal Parker had everyone, especially new parents, giggling with her periotinance as Baby In the one-act play of the same name, last Thursday night. The occasion was Cart- wright Central Public School's A Festival of Fine Arts, featuring three short productions performed by the Intermediate Drama Club, and music by the Primary Choir and the Grade 5 Recorder Group. "Baby" was the star of the show In Baby, one of the three short plays peformed by students at Cartwright Central Pub- lic School last Thursday night. Baby was played by Crystal Parker, her father was played by Ryan Ruskay (right), while visiting relatives were played by Amanda Walsh and Mike Stanlland. Coming up this Wednesday May 31 at the school Is the first-ever Cartwright Arts '89, a gala featuring music and acting from CCPS and Cartwright High School. Award- winning performers include members of the CCPS Stage Band, the CHS Concert Band, the Grade 8 Concert Band, and the recent award-winning play from CHS, "Turret Rose."
