Prize winners are as follows: Lone hands to Fran Gibson, ladies first prize to Ver- na Draper, second to Vera Fawns. Low prize to Jean Johnston. Mens first to Olive Aitken, second prize to John Medland. Low prize to Dorothy Whittington. 50/50 draw won by Harold Whitbread. Lucky door prize winner was Joy Bright. Next euchre will be on Thursday, June 28. Last Wednesday evening was the spring flower show and general meeting of the Brooklin Horticultural Society held at Brooklin United Church. In spite of the late growing season, there were a lot of lovely entries on the show table. Carol Peace- Meijerink took the prize for the best tulip specimen. Best Decorative entry won by Joan Brak. Best Novice Arrangement by Alice Ross. Congratulations ladies! Ken Brown and Bernice Gardner also won several prizes. The highlight of the evening was that we were privileged to have as our special speaker, Charles Davis of Willowdale. He gave a most interesting and infor- mative talk on 'Growing and Showing Roses." Keep in mind the "Iris Show" to be held at Burns Church Hall on Monday evening, June 12. There was a good attendance at morning worship last Sunday morning. Rev. McEntyres ser- mon was titled 'I Believe - With Enthusiasm." His text was from Ephesians Chapter 1, verses 17-21. The Senior Choir sang "It Took A Miracle." Scriptures were read by Debbie Batten and Jack Davidchuk. Following the service we enjoyed coffee and donuts served by Gordon and Judy Hillis. It was nice to have visitors with us all the way from Cornwall, England. Next Sunday, we will be pleased to welcome Rev. Dr. George Moore to Burns pulpit, as Rev. McEntyre will be attending General Assembly in Montreal. Brian Parrott spent the weekend with his parents, Grant and Sheila Parrott.
