Scugog Soccer results ATOM DIVISION Two weeks ago saw Bruton's I.D.A. edging Taylor Petro Canada by a score of 2-0. Goals coming from Tyler Wootton and "Rob Murphy. In the other Atom game Taylor Ford Mercury with two goals each from Chris Arnold, Colin Mark and John Schewaga, overcame Dennis Anderson 6-0. Last week saw Taylor Ford Mercury squeaking by Bruton's Greenbank wins On July 18th Perfect Heatings Greenbank team met with Seagrave on Seagraves home turf. This was anyone's game as Seagrave was leading the ball game 3-2 until the 4th inning when Perfect Heating came back getting 10 runs in the 4th and 5th innings making the final score 12-3. Perfect Heating saw Mike Phoenix not only pitch a good game, he also hit 4 for 4, one of which was a home run. Mat Blowe also hit a home run and went 3 for 4 at the plate. Heather Tredway hit 3 for 4 and also pitched well. Travis MacSween hit a nice triple and Graeme Powell and Steven Postma played a good defensive game. Seagraves team had Mark Turnbull pitch an awsom wind- mill pitching game as well as hit 3 for 4. Brennan Arsenault hit a nice home run and Jason Gilliam played a great defensive game at back catch. ' Just no contest Williams Arms 8 Stouffville 1 Stouffville visited the Williams Arms Pee Wee Twos with only. nine players, which proved to be ® [ Mike's fine game On Tuesday July 18, B & R Electric destroyed Greenbank Four-kee 26-1 to take over third place. Michael Bent was the star of the game for B & R Electric. He pitched 3 almost flawless innings striking out 8 and catching a pop- up, while allowing only 4 hits and a walk. He also had 2 put-outs while playing first base plus he caught a fly-out while playing centrefield. Cara Vander Slagt, Travis Huckley, and Jason Coish also helped out defensively by pitching 4 innings amongst them. They allowed only 2 walks and 6 hits. The only run of the game for Greenbank Four-kee was scored off Jason. Offensively, everyoneon B&R Electric was hitting as they all managed to get on first base at least 4 time. Keyin Duncan and Michael each went 7 for 7, while Justin Kowalczyk went 5 for 5 and Jason went 6 for 7. Michael and Jason also had a walk each, while Justin had 2. Jeff Andrews scored a goal and confused the op- position with great ball control. A special mention should go to Mike Tripp who, as usual, displayed superb goal tending. Mike scored a goal in this game, to confirm his all round ability. I.D.A. 3-2. John Schewaga led Taylor Ford with two goals and the single going to Robbie Bredin. Scoring for Bruton's was Andrew Martin. The other game Taylor Petro Canada edged out Dennis Anderson by a 3-1 score. Scoring for Petro Canada was John Chambers, Alex Dell, and Greg Bruton. Blayne Kinnunen scored the lone goal for Dennis Anderson. MOSQUITO DIVISION (BOYS) Two weeks ago, Port Perry Rent and Save and Port Perry Printing put on a goal scoring feast for all to see. The Port Per Printing although lacking a full team put up a brave fight, in this 8-4 loss. Ryan Duff and Matt Cameron had two goals apiece for the Port Perry Printers. Aaron Lafontaine led the charge for Rent and Save with the hat trick. Kevin Hobbs and Tommy Chambers chipped in with two each, with Kristan Wootton ad- ding a single. This past week Rent and Save travelled to Uxbridge on the 17th, but unfortunately suffered a 6-1 loss. Scoring the goal for Rent and Save was Kevin Hobbs. On Wednesday the 19th, Rent and Save entertained Stouffville and came away as winners by a score of 3-1. Kristan Wootton led the way with two goals and Kevin Hobbs the single. The other two Port Perry teams were up against one another aswell with the House of Howard team downing the Port Perry Printers by a score of 7-1, Unfor- tunately no scorers available.
