On December 9, 1989 at Trinity United Church, Uxbridge Concert will feature works by Vivaldi, Praetorius, Byrd, Hurford, Berlioz, Rutter, Bach, Lloyd- Webber and a new work for strings and choir by choir direc- tor Thomas Baker. String quartet and continuo accompaniment. On March 17, 1990 at Uxbridge Music Hall will include a cycle of love songs by composers Halley, Boehm, Brahms, Bruch, Beckwith, Luboff, Finzi, Fiss- inger, Kern, Wystedt, Passereau, Purcell, Rutter, Willcocks and * Schubert. On June 2, 1990 at Trinity Graduate Nancy Smith recently graduated with Honours from Ryerson Polytechnical Instifute with a Degree in Nursing. She is an employee of Oshawa General 'Hospital. Nancy is the wife of Philip and mother of Rory and Clayton. Her parents are Herb and Kathy Hatch of Seagrave, Ontario and a granddaughter of Dorothy Ellis, Port Perry. Nancy will be continuing her studies in Nursing at the Graduate Level, University of Toronto, this fall. Car hit tree driver OK A Newmarket man, driving an '87 Subaru, hit a tree on Sun- . day. The requirements for these scholarships are that students must be going on for post-secondary education, have good marks, must have performed community work and be residents of the Island.
