A fan will be purchas- ed for the Port Perry Hospital. Everyone offered to make squares or cookies for Elizabeth Luke's wedding dance lunch. The August Nursing Home bir- thday party was planned. The W.I. picnic table was sold to May Shortridge as the Women's In- stitute has no more use of it. The recycling of glass jars and bottles was spoken by Edith McLaughlin. Couloured bottles should be separated from clear glass. Pat Sleep was the tin-can lady hoping that she might turn up the next time around in a sleek car. Miss Poly Plastic who lives bet- ween 100 to 400 years was discuss- ed by Eileen McLaughlin. After the skit a reading was given by Jean Adams "Remember when we didn't Sue?" The members were invited to view Liz Luke's beautiful wedding gifts. 6th week of Playground by Jackie, Melissa, & Julie Hey Kids! ' Welcome to our sixth week of Playground. On Monday morning join us in Caesarea for a game of Loose Caboose and the making of popsicle door plates. That after- noon, in Apple Valley, we will be making firework paintings and playing fishnet. Tuesday morning brings us to Prince Albert School where we will meet Adam & Eve and make tissue paper jars. In the after- noon, Greenbank will play a game with Romeo & Juliet and find out what Simon says. Wednesday morning, Seagrave kids will find a missing ring and look for lost sheep. On the Island that afternoon cherry blossoms will bloom. Thursday morning in Perry Glen warm up for a game of balloon volleyball and making God's eyes. In View Lake that afternoon we will find out who's the leader and be getting all wet. - Classic Car Show On Sunday, August 13 between 10:00 'a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the Bowmanville Optimist Club will host the third annual '"'Show and Shine" car exhibit at the En- niskillen Conservation Area. Vin- tage automobiles of every kind will be on display. In addition, the Central Lake Ontario Conserva- tion Authority will provide wagon rides at $1.50 per ticket. Durham Region Police report Tina Dagnell was driving south- bound on Regional Road 2, south of Concession 4, when her vehicle struck an animal and went out of control.
