Bruton, 376 Lilla St. Port Perry, Ontario, passed away suddenly at the Hotel Dew Hospital, Kingston, Ontario, on May 21, 1989. Stan was born in Collingwood and later lived in Toronto and Hamilton but at an early age his family moved to the Orono area. He received his early education at Kendal and Orono and served his apprenticeship in pharmacy at Gilfillan's Drug Store in Orono. He graduated from the Ontario College of Pharmacy in 1939 and received his 50th year certificate from the College this year. After working in Toronto for several years he purchased Morrison's Drug Store in Port Perry in 1946 and operated in until his retire- ment in 1974 when he sold the business to Jim and Margaret Lawrence. Stan was a member of the Church of the Ascension and a member of Fidelity D THE REGIONAL MUNCIPALITY OF DURHAM Masonic Lodge No. 428. He was for many years a member of the - Lions Club and a past president of that organization. He was also a member of the Port Perry Curl- ing Club and very interested in sports especially hockey, baseball and curling. Surviving are his wife Rebecca, children Lynda Liston and Robert Bruton, grandchildren Barbara - and Sandra Liston, Gregory and Jennifer Bruton. He is also sur- vived by two sisters, Doris Hall, Mildred Twinney and their families all from the Oshawa Bowmanville and Orono areas. He was predeceased by brothers Clifford, Norman, Rev. Gordon and Cecil. Reverend Charles Bull of- ficiated at the funeral service held at Scugog Memorial Chapel, May 25, 1989 and following cremation interment was at Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert, Ontario. REG.
