President Neta Fish welcomed those present and read a poem "September," which was followed by the Ode and Collect. Correspondence includ- ed notice of a District Executive meeting to be held at the home of district president, Mrs. Cathcart, Kendal, Sept. 11th; an invitation to Blackstock Institute, Sept. 6, at the Town Hall - 8:00 p.m. to hear Mr. Ron Martyn speak on - "Preparing your children for old age;" and a reminder that Nestleton Branch is invited to Solina Branch meeting on Oct. 11th - "Citizenship meeting' and "Re-cycling." The fall convention will be held Oct. 24 and 25th at the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, and two delegates were appointed. Fred Swann conducted the church service at 11 a.m. with Joyce Taylor at the organ. Psalm 30 was read responsively, and Scripture reading was Psalm I - as the beginning of a series of studies on the book of Psalms. Next Sunday will be the 144th anniversary of Nestleton Presbyterian Church, and Dr. M. B. Dymond of Port Perry will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m., with music supplied by the Senior Citizens Choir, also, of Port Perry. A good attendance is expected. Congratulations were extended to Miss Alison Scott, daughter of George and Shirley Scott, on graduating from her course at the University of Toronto. Family News Of Interest Mrs. Neta Fish, Blackstock, was a guest at the lovely evening wedding held September 1, 6 p.m. at the Whitby Yacht Club, when Andrew Kay of Oshawa, and Denise Fish of Sonya, exchanged marriage vows. Chaplain William Dugeja of Whitby, officiated at the colourful ceremony. The bride and her father Peter Fish, were chauffered in a beautiful 1927 Cadillac and when arriving at the Archway, they were met by a Scotsman playing the bag-pipes...who led the wed- ding procession down the aisle! The groom and his attendants were dressed in Scottish Kilts...and the bridesmaids in red dresses with flower girls in white satin trimmed with red The reception was held at 7 p.m. followed by a dance.
