Day Oct. 27 Scala 3 Big V 1 There was plenty of fast skating and a passing but no scoring until the second periods when Scala's Graham Holt shot one in, unassisted. The action re- mained fast and furious for the re- mainder of the period and with seconds to go, Scala's Sean Sauter netted one from Mark Dunn. In the early minutes of the third period Big V rebounded for one as John Hall scored with Greg Thompson earning the assist. Midway through the period Matt Phoenix put the finishing touches on the game as he scored assisted by Gavin Carnegie. Larocque 11 Emiels 2 This game ended up in Laroc- que's favour as they continually 'kept firing the puck in the direc- tion of Emiels net. Larocque scored the first three goals of the game. Jeremy Stevens had two, as Justin Woot- ton assisted on one, David Kemp and Matt Baker the other. Steven Kyte scored the other goal, Scott Swain earning the assist. In the third period, Emiels' Matt Brown scored a beauty as Jon Jamieson and Stewart Bruce earned the assist. Consumers Gas rallied again and scored two fast ones, Jason Vader from Brandon Puckrin and Richie Tripp from Matt Mantel. . Consumers Gas had many chances, but only managed one more, Steve Hiemstra from Richie Tripp. Thus ended another fine game, Emiels 8, Consumers Gas 5. Big V 2 Larocque Electric 0 This game was a real fine ex- ample of the excellent hockey be- ing played in the Pee Wee House League. Big V's Jonathan McCourt opened the scoring midway through the second period while Derek Anderson and Clay Scott . earned the assists. There was plenty of end-to-end rushing and great scoring opportunities, but only one goal was scored in the third, that by Big V's Derek Anderson assisted by Jonathan McCourt. It would appear Larocque's boys took all the finish off their sticks in the previous days game. Saturday Nov. 4 Emiels 5 Big V 2 Emiels started this contest after . a scoreless first period and ex- ploded for three goals in the se- cond period. Matt Brown scored his second of the game with Jeff Jamieson earning the assist. Consumers Gas 8 Scala 6 This was another fine display of the excellent hockey being played in the Pee Wee House League. Scala scored early in the first as Sean Sauter tipped one in on a pass from Graham Holt and Alan Calder. The first game of the day was Re/Max Realty vs Van Camp Construction. At the 9 minute mark of the second period, it look- ed as if Re/Max was going to take it on the chin, but six unanswered goals turned the tide for the Re/Max squad, winning the game by a 6-2 count. For Re/Max, Wyatt Park scored his first "hat trick'"' of the season. Two fine defensive efforts go to Shane Savage for Van Camp and Corey Branton for Re/Max. Scoring for Van Camp Con- struction was Greg Bruton with 2 goals, Jonathon Chambers had 2 assists and Jonathon Froats and Shane Savage had 1 assist each. Ir goal for Van Camp was Jamie Clarke. Scoring for Re/Max Realty was David Gainey assisted by Scott Cunningham and Daniel Lee. Wyatt Park scored, assisted by Justin Sheehey. Wyatt Park scored from Mathew Caldwell. David Gainey scored his second goal of the game assisted by Mark Sauter and Russ Brown. Wyatt Park rounded out his "hat trick" assisted by Justin Sheehey and Mark Sauter. Justin Sheehey scored, assisted by Wyatt Park and Mark Sauter. In goal for Re/Max Realty was Mick Ostafichuk with some excellant goaltending. Consumers Gas now took con- trol and scored the next three goals, Neil Hancock from Matt Mantel and Eric Lucyk from Neil Hancock then Jason Vader Port Perry Printers in a very talented game of "shinnie." After a scoreless first period, things started to tighten up. After 2 periods, Davids was ahead by a 1to 0 score. Then came the "Third Period." Port Perry Printing then scored 3 unanswered goals in the third period to defeat Davids Hairstyl- ing by a score of 3 to 1. In this match-up both- teams played very heady hockey and all unassisted. Scala tallied for another to tie the score as Mike Pashley did some fancy stick work and fired one while Andrew Jones and Gavin Carnegie picked up the assists. Consumers' Eric Lucyk, who had a strong game scored his hat trick, the assists going to Terry Jellicoe and Steve Cochrane. Later in the third period, Con- sumers put the game in the bag as Richie Tripp scored unassisted to win the match, eight to six. Great hockey guys, keep up the excellent entertainment. Remember, you're in Manvers next Saturday, Nov. 11, as the Midget 1 and Bantam 1 tourna- ment is being played in the Port Perry arena. Novice House League who took in this game wasn't disappointed.
