See Santa, win cash in downtown Port Perry With less than three weeks until Christmas, members of Downtown B.I.LA. have decked out their stores and made some very spe- cial arrangements. Starting this Thursday, San- ta Claus will visit with the kids in his own little house (between Home Hardware and Standard Trust). The BIA invites all parents to bring their kids downtown and let them enjoy meeting the "jol- ly old elf". Santa will be greeting the kids in his house on Thursday and Friday, December 7, 8, 14, 15 between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 PM; and on Saturday, December 9, 16, 23, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and again from 2:00PM to 4:00 PM. In addition to Santa Claus, the BIA is urging shoppers to wear their Christmas buttons, and they could be an instant winner. Spotters cirulating in the downtown will watch for the special Welcome to Down- town buttons, and if you're picked you will win cash. Make this extra special year for the kids, get down and visit with Santa. SEARS SUPER | SATURDAY ;. SATURDAY, DEC. 9, 1989 *IN-STORE STOCK* TY "TAKE HOME TODAY* *VISIT US* Fill in a ballot! Please bring your children with you for Sunday School and join the the worship service. The Annual Meeting of the church will be held on Jan. 30, 1990. We would welcome new members and new ideas to help keep our little church alive and meaningful to the community through the nineteen-nineties! Remember our church is just a building, until people enter for worship, fun and fellowship. Please consider becoming in- volved in some way, in the new year. I certainly enjoyed my visit "and ask that you extend my thanks to the members of your council for their kindness." The letter was simply signed, David Peterson.
