Cuddia of Weston was the guest of his sister Jennie and her husband Archie Watson for Christmas Day. Elspeth Deer and children of Kingston are visiting her parents for a few day. Mrs. Marilyn McKay of Halifax arrived at the McKay home on Wed. for a few days. Chris and Johanna Ruhl expect their family all home for the Christmas festivities on Wed. We are glad to learn that Mrs. Elmer Wilson is recovering and was able to enjoy Christmas with Doug and Beth Wilson. : The Asling family were pleas- ed that Stella is able to get about with a cane. The family met there for dinner on Sunday. Don called his daughter Dr. Pat Asling in Jamaica and we all were able to talk with her. Norman and Betty Tapscott held Christmas on Mon. Their friend Margaret Cope of Orillia was a guest for the noon meal, then all joined the rest of the Tapscott family at Howard Tapscott's home. The Postma family were happy to have Mrs. Postma's mother Mrs. Mound & two of Jill's sisters visit them on Christmas Day. Walter and Elva Kerry and sons spent Christmas Day with Arnold and Gail Kerry, and today the Stearman family (Boxing Day) were gathering at Memory Hall, Utica. Twenty-six of the family of Ruth Ashton met at her home Tuesday for Christmas dinner. Lorraine Brown of Greenbank and Marie and Earl Wilson also called to wish Ruth Ashton a Merry Christmas. Mr..and Mrs. Earl Taylor spent Christmas Day with Earl's sister Ruth in Cannington. Ross Evans' mother had Christmas dinner with them on Sun. Please phone your news to me 985-2620. Dr. Jerrold and Mrs. Asling of Hanover have been visiting his: parents Don & Stella Asling. They also were visiting her mother. Ross Evans had a nasty acci- dent on Christmas morning when a big bale of hay fell on him. He is in Toronto General Hospital with multiple injuries and hoping for a speedy recovery. The Espom-Utica U.C.W. will be on Jan. 9. Time and place will be announced at church on Sun. Marie and Earl Wilson enjoyed having their family home for Christmas. I was pleased to join the Asling family Christmas dinner on Sun- - day. During the afternoon we all talked to Dr. Pat Asling in Jamaica. On Mon. .I went to Oshawa to enjoy a meal and visit my daughter Yvonne Moore, her husband and their family. Otherwise I have been house- bound with a flu-like bug for a couple of weeks. At'the cross-roads of the old and new year, it is nice to think of folks like you.
