According to Teen Volunteer co-ordinator Ann Tielemans when she took over this posi- tion this past September , the hospital had only two candys- tripers. Three monthslater, the hospital is"full up" with 28 vol- unteers. Candystripers start at age 13, and usually. go up to about16 or 17 years of age. "The starting age used to be 15, but it has n lowered to 13.
