On Friday January 19, Port Perry played Uxbridge at home, the whole team skated well, but they just couldn't get one past the Uxbridge goalie. Uxbridge won 1-0. Then Port Perry travelled to Port Hope Sunday afternoon to play another strong game that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Though Port Perry dominated the game in the first period, no goals were scored by either team. Port Hope scored the only goal in the second period so Port Perry was playing catch up going into the third. Port Perry finally put one in the net 5 minutes . and 44 seconds into the period making it a tie game to this point. Troy Campbell earned the goal assisted by Danny Lyons. The pressure was on but Port Hope put another one in the net so Port Perry was behind once again. The team tried everything, even pulling the goalie but even with numerous shots on net they just couldn't get another one in. Final score; Port Hope 2, Port Perry 1. Good work boys.
