Police in the fog over accident A report in the January 23 issue of the PortPerry Star about an accident that took place January 16 on Highway 7A was incomplete and con- tained incorrect information. According to Whitby OPP, there were two separate acci- dents in the span of a few min- utes at the intersection of High- way 7A and the Scugog Island Road No. 7. Paul Kett of Scugog Island, driving a 1978 Cadillac was southbound on the Island Road when he approached the stop sign at the Highway intersec- tion. His vehicle slid onto High- way 7A and was struck by an eastbound car driven by Linda Elliot of Prince Albert, causing extensive damage to the Elliot vehicle. A few moments later, an- other vehicle southbound on the Island Road driven by Jerry Bludgell of Scugog Island, slid through the intersection and struck the Elliot vehicle. The accident took place just after 8:00 AM in thick fog condi- tions. OPP have char and Bludgell with yield. i We regret the errors in the original report. d Kett ailing to The executive are looking for- ward to another successful fair this year.
