No estimate of cost was giv- en for this equipment, or setting up a fire station in Greenbank, but administrator Earl Cuddie said "the public should be made aware of the (cost) implica- tions." While the report contained criticisms of record keeping methods at both Port Perry and Caesarea halls, several mem- bers of council gave the depart- ment a vote of confidence on overall performance. "The department is not broken. We (council) don't have to rush in and do major repairs. The department is doing a good job," said Ward 2 rep Marilyn Pearce. Some of the other recomen- dations included in the report call for up-grading the water supply and pressure systems in Greenbank and Blackstock (both are described as inade- quate for fire fighting purposes) a colour coding of all hydrants in the Township in accordance with their flow test results, and an in-service training program OFFICE FURNITURE Filing Cabinets Desks - Chairs - etc. PORT PERRY STAR 235 Queen Street to provide recruit, refresher and officer training for all members of the department.
