Easter News Henry and Effa Stainton of Williams Point, were guests with daughter Lynn and husband Doug Lloyd and family, of Whitby, for the Easter celebration. A lovely family gathering with approx. a dozen. Bill and Kay Ingram of Nestleton, were guests with their daughter Linda and husband, Dave MacInnis and family, of Pickering..a great day of celebrating! Glenn and Anne Ingram and children of Nestleton, spent Easter with her parents, at West Hill. .an interesting, festive party for all. Ralph and Leona Sadler, Nestleton, spent from Good Fri- day until Easter Monday, with daughter Gloria and Ian Scott, Charles and Jennifer, at their home in Corbyville. Richard and Janice MacKenzie, Claire and Leslie were guests on Sunday; a fine family get-together for Easter festivities! David and Regenia Walker, Avril and Kyle, Scugog Point were Easter guests with her parents, Bert and Jean Hill and son Martin of Whitby, for a love- ly celebration. While there they went to the lake to see the Canada Geese and Ducks - a beautiful sight! Welcome Home A warm welcome home to Norm and Bernice Mairs, who have had a most enjoyable winter in Largo, Midway Trailer Park, Florida. Nice to see them out to Nestleton United Church on Sunday. Welcome home also to Roy and Doris Nottingham of Caesarea, who have just returned from the sunny: south. They wintered in Largo too; at Midway Trailer Park and had a beautiful holiday. An Honour Bill and Kay Ingram of Nestleton, attended a lovely din- ner and party in honour of Bill's brother-in-law Jim MacMaster of Millbrook; he has been a Lion for 38 years..and won the Melvyn Jones Fellowship Award. Our warmest congratulations to Jim for this achievement! Community Church Caesarea Another beautiful morning for Caesarea Church at 11 a.m. The Service was opened with songs of Praise; followed by Prayer by the Rev. W.H. Crawford. The guest speaker was Rev. V. Daughtery (Evangelist) from U.S.A. who made a short return visit. His sermon was taken from Psalm 103: 2-5. Theme: 'Claiming Your Benefits'. Next week another fine guest speaker for 11 a.m. The children have their Sunshine Club on Tuesday 4-5 p.m. Nestleton Presbyterian Church On a lovely Spring like morn- ing, the Church service at Nestleton Presbyterian was con- ducted by Rev. Wm. Fairley with Joyce Taylor as organist. Messrs. Russel Brown and George Scott welcomed at the door. The responsive readings were Genesis 13: 8-18 and St. John 20: 19-31. The children's story for the S.S. was 'We live by love' as children grow, developing their own talents. Rev. Fairley spoke on 'After Easter Reflections' Our Risen Lord does not remind us of our past failures or sins, but in- spires us to live in the light and truth of His triumph over darkness, evil and death. Service will be at 11 a.m. next Sunday; all are welcome to attend. Shower for Church Member Following the church service, Mr. and Mrs. George Scott and Alison, entertained at their home for their infant grandson, Samuel David William Jones, son of David and Peggy Jones. "Those present included members of Ballyduff and Nestleton Presbyterian Churches, and some family friends. A boun- tiful noon luncheon was followed by the opening of a variety of gifts for Master Samuel. Peggy graciously thanked all for their kindness. Everyone enjoyed visiting again with Alison after a year spent in University in France. Sympathy Extended Our deepest sympathy to Andy Lawrence of Port Perry, in the loss of his beloved wife Marion, who passed away in Port Perry Community Hospital this past week. She leaves to mourn, besides her husband, two sons, Gary and Peter. Marion was a very interesting, efficient person, well liked by all, and will be missed by many relatives and a host of friends. If you can go out can- vassing for a day or so; call Pat Sleep at 986-4240; it surely would be appreciated. Park clean-up is this abl 4 Attention to everyone in the community! The Seagrave Park clean up is Sat. Apr. 28th at 9:00 a.m. (rain date May 5). Could you please spare an hour or two to helo clean un this community park. Take rakes, shovels and brooms if possible. Most impor- tant, take garden gloves to wear as unfortunately there is a lot of broken glass in and around the tennis court area. (worst mess in 10 years I'm told by the Park Board members)! Please help keep our park a clean and safe place for all to enjoy this summer. A reminder again to all Block Parents in Robin Glade Estates, please fill out the forms you were given and get them to Ann San- diford as soon as possible.
